ISGC 2010 Registration:

Registration Fee:

• To apply for student special rate, please fax a copy of a valid full-time student ID along with your Registration Form to ISGC Secretariat at +886-2-2783-5434 or via e-mail to angelina.shen@twgrid.org

Confirmation:

After received your payment and completed registration form, you will receive a confirmation letter sent by ISGC Secretariat. The confirmation letter must be presented at the registration desk upon arrival.

Cancellation:

Cancellations and registration fee refund must be made in writing to the Secretariat before 28 February 2010. Cancellation will not be applicable after 28 February 2010. In addition, all refund will be processed after the conference is over.

Notes For Hotel Reservation :

• Reservations are made on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Reservations should be made by sending the Reservation Form to the Secretariat on-line system or via e-mail: angelina.shen@twgrid.org, also through fax at +886-2-2783-5434.
• The credit card information is used as a guarantee for one-night deposit required for Howard Plaza Hotel & Leader Hotel Taipei ONLY. You will not be charged any hotel fee at this moment. You will be charged from the hotel directly when you check-out.
• Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of flight details and credit card guarantee (if you booked Howard Plaza Hotel or Leader Hotel Taipei, credit card guarantee is needed) by 31 January 2010. Thereafter, reservations can only be confirmed subject to room availability.
• Notification of hotel cancellation should be sent in writing to the Secretariat via Email (angelina.shen@twgrid.org) by 31 January 2010. For any no-show case, a fee equal to one-night room rate will be charged.
• Guest House of Academia Sinica only accepts NT dollars in cash and provides limited foreign exchanges service (only US dollars to NT dollars). Please note that the amount of foreign exchanges is not guarantee. Therefore, it is highly recommended to convert your foreign exchanges to NT dollars in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTY) International Airport.
• Free wireless and broadband Internet accesses are available at Academia Sinica Guest House, Leader Hotel Taipei.
• Broadband Internet access is available at Howard Plaza Hotel (24 hrs for NT$280).

Transportation information from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to Hotels

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is located in Taoyuan County, which is approximately 40 kilometers and takes about 50-60 minutes by car or bus to downtown Taipei. Please refer to the following information to choose the transportation to go to the hotels.

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, *Ireland, Italy, *Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands , New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia , Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, *U.K. and U.S.A.

*Japanese,* U.K. and *Ireland passport holders can stay 90 days.

Requirements:

1. A passport with validity of at least six months upon entry .
   
．Visa-exempt entry only applicable to formal passports, not including emergency, temporary, other informal passports or travel documents.
．Japanese Citizen is entitled to validity of passport at least three months, under same other requirements. (unless otherwise stipulated by treaty or agreement)

2. A confirmed return air/sea ticket or an air/sea ticket and a visa for the next destination, and a confirmed seat reservation for departure.
3. No criminal record or not listed by the local authorities.

Duration of stay: 30 days. The 30 days' duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable. Travelers must depart by the end of the said 30 days. Visa-exempt entry cannot be converted to other types of visas.

Landing Visa:

Countries eligible for Landing Visas :

1. Holders of emergency or temporary passports with validity more than six months for nationals of those countries eligible for visa-exempt entry.
2. Holders of USA passport with validity less than six months.

Requirements :

1. A confirmed return air/sea ticket or an air/sea ticket and a visa for the next destination, and a confirmed seat reservation for departure.
2. Fill out an application form with one photo.
3. Visa fee of NT$ 1,600 (citizens of countries with reciprocal agreements shall be issued visas gratis) plus a handling fee of NT$ 800; For U.S. citizens: see remarks
4. No criminal record or not listed by the local authorities.

Duration of stay :30 days. The 30 days' duration of stay starts from the next day of arrival and is not extendable. Landing visa cannot be converted to other types of visas.

Remarks : Holders of USA passport with validity less than six months.

1. Passengers shall apply for a visa at ROC Overseas Missions and be charged a special handling fee of equal amount US$131（NT$4,323）.
2. Passengers who apply for visas upon arrival at the ports of entry in the ROC shall be charged a special handling fee of equal amount US$131（NT$4,323）plus an additional fee of US$24（NT$800）.A single entry visa of which duration of stay is no more than 30 days may be granted.
   

Other Information :

1. Passengers entering the Republic of China through the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport may apply for a landing visa at the Visa Office of Consular Affairs Bureau at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
